A Floral Buckinghamshire Destination Wedding

Jesse & Sam

Jesse and Sam’s wedding day in Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire was a vibrant celebration, filled with joy, warmth, and a charming touch of English countryside magic. Hailing from Boston, USA, the couple chose a deeply personal venue: Sam’s grandmother’s picturesque garden in Chalfont St Giles, transforming it into a dream destination for their special day.

The theme was ā€˜floral’ — a perfect choice that allowed us to create an unforgettable blend of colors and textures inspired by wildflowers and the English countryside. We embraced a relaxed, natural aesthetic, with blooms that felt as if they had just been picked from a meadow.

Jesse looked radiant with a flower crown adorning her hair, while Sam wore a unique ā€œpocket meadowā€ — a small floral arrangement designed to fit in his suit pocket, a charming and personalized twist on the traditional pocket square. This floral accessory brought a whimsical touch to Sam’s look and was a true reflection of the wedding’s rustic elegance.

The ceremony took place in an intimate old barn at The Chiltern Open Air Museum. Quaint and perfectly suited to the guest list, this setting added a nostalgic charm to their vows. To complement the space, we decorated the entrance with a lush floral moongate and delicate bunches of flowers at each pew end, framing the ceremony beautifully.

Afterwards, guests strolled to Sam’s grandmother’s nearby home, where a lovely marquee awaited them within the garden grounds. Under its canopy, surrounded by blooming flowers, everyone enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea — the perfect way to celebrate this beautiful day.

If you’re planning a wedding, please do get in touch to talk all things flowers!

Working with Nicola was just about my favorite part of the wedding planning process.

She was so patient and helpful and worked around our schedules, which was extra difficult because we were planning a destination wedding from a different time zone.

We had so much fun thinking through the flowers, and we got about a million compliments on them during the wedding. I would recommend Flora Special Occasion and Nicola a hundred percent!

Nicola xx
