Amy and Adam’s October 2025 wedding was the perfect blend of romance, personality, and garden inspired design, all rooted in their love of the outdoors.

From Tinder to “I Do”

Amy and Adam’s story began, like many modern love stories, on Tinder. Their first date was simple and relaxed, a walk followed by coffee, setting the tone for a relationship built on shared time outdoors and enjoying life’s quieter moments.

When it came time for Adam to propose, he chose a place that reflected that same love of nature. The proposal took place during a wander around Kew Gardens, surrounded by lush planting and seasonal beauty. It felt only fitting that their wedding flowers would echo that garden inspired feeling.

Choosing Notley Abbey for Their Autumn Wedding

Notley Abbey in Buckinghamshire was the perfect venue for Amy and Adam’s celebration. With its historic stonework, beautiful ceremony spaces, and connection to the outdoors, it provided a stunning canvas for a romantic autumn wedding.

Their vision was clear from the beginning, they wanted flowers that felt natural, abundant, and expressive, as though they had grown effortlessly within the space.

A Garden Inspired Floral Design

To reflect Amy and Adam’s love of the outdoors, I created floral designs that felt wild, organic, and full of movement. Garden style arrangements with exaggerated forms and flowing shapes softened the historic interiors and brought a sense of nature indoors.

The colour palette was wonderfully rich and romantic, featuring magenta, layered pinks, deep plums, and soft nude tones. These colours worked beautifully against the stone walls of Notley Abbey, adding warmth and depth to every space.

Ceremony Flowers at Notley Abbey

For the ceremony, a pair of wild, cascading floral urns framed the space, overflowing with seasonal blooms and textured foliage. These statement arrangements created a sense of abundance without feeling formal.

The aisle was lined with meadow style florals, giving the impression of a garden gently spilling into the ceremony space. Floating candles added softness and atmosphere, creating a romantic walkway that felt intimate and inviting as Amy made her entrance.

Reception Styling and Tablescape Details

The reception florals continued the garden inspired theme, with a thoughtful mix of heights and textures across the tables.

Half of the tables featured low bud vases filled with seasonal blooms, paired with colourful taper candles that echoed the wedding palette and added a playful, romantic glow. The remaining tables showcased tall glass centrepieces, abundant with flowers and foliage, creating height and drama without overwhelming the space.

This balance kept the room feeling visually interesting, relaxed, and cohesive, allowing guests to enjoy both conversation and beautiful floral details.

A Celebration Full of Colour and Character

Amy and Adam’s wedding was a perfect reflection of who they are as a couple, relaxed, romantic, and connected to the outdoors. Their flowers told their story, from the garden inspired arrangements to the rich autumnal colour palette that brought warmth and personality to every moment of the day.
