A Stowe House Wedding

Stowe HouseĀ is a very special wedding venue, so I was over the moon when Maia and Matt asked me to design their wedding flowers back in July 2022.

On doing a site visit, I was blown away by the majesty of the building and was so excited to be working at such a fantastic venue. Maia and Matt’s vision was shades of pinks, reds and aubergines, which worked beautifully against the pink marble architecture of the Main Hall.

We decided to have a mix of tall and short centrepieces, which works really well when you have a high guest count as it adds interest to the room. With a high ceiling, it’s also a good idea to incorporate high centrepieces to make the room feel a little more personal.

For the low centrepieces, I bought some beautiful cut glass footed vases (a fab addition to my stock list). The tall centrepieces were simple plain glass conical vases.

A floral moon gate was created on the lawn for a photo backdrop opportunity, and to frame the stunning view.

The selection of flowers used within this wedding included;

Roses

Scabious

Amaranthus

Astilbe

Clematis

Limonium

Astrantia

Lisianthus

The photography featured in this post and the official photographer for the day was Andy Sidders

If you’re getting married art Stowe House, please do get in touch as I would love to work at this incredible venue again!
