There are some weddings that stay with you forever, and Holly & Hugh’s beautifully whimsical wildflower wedding in June 2024 is one I return to time and time again for inspiration. If you love woodland-inspired floral designs, boho romance, and vibrant seasonal blooms, you’re in for a treat!

When the professional images from Linas landed in my inbox, I quite literally squealed with delight—every frame captured the magic of the day so perfectly. The moody aesthetic, colourful florals, and Holly’s fiery red hair, paired with that dreamy, floaty gown, created a truly ethereal woodland vibe.

A Wildflower-Inspired Wedding Bouquet & Florals

Holly had a clear vision for her wedding flowers—an untamed, wildflower look, bursting with natural movement and colour. She specifically wanted daisies, sweet peas, and ferns, creating an effortless, hand-gathered style. To enhance this look, I bound her bouquet with sheer raw silk ribbon, adding an airy, romantic touch that tied beautifully into the rest of the floral design.

For the ceremony at The Coach House, we designed:

Zig-zagging aisle flower meadows – giving a natural, overgrown effect, as if the flowers were sprouting from the ground.

A partially covered floral arch – using soft, trailing asparagus fern, willow, and lush seasonal blooms, creating a dreamy focal point for the couple’s vows.

The mix of textures and playful, organic shapes gave the ceremony space a woodland fairytale feel, perfect for Holly & Hugh’s vision.

Beyond thrilled with how stunning Nicola made our wedding day! I could attach 100s of photos that our guests took of the arch, flower meadows and bouquets.
We went for a wild flower theme and she really took this on in style. I loved the little moss finishes at the base of the flowers and the branches. She had some ideas for us and suggested I might like a trailing ribbon for my bouquet, as I was going for the wildflower aesthetic. This turned out beautifully with the wind behind it in all the photos!
She then moved our ceremony flowers to the reception area and styled it beautifully.
