Late Summer Wedding at Stanlake Park

Megan & John

Stanlake Park provided the perfect backdrop for a stunning late summer wedding. The celebration beautifully blended English and Scottish heritage, inspiring us to pair striking blue thistles with lush English garden roses. This combination, complemented by a variety of textures and forms, created the romantic and natural aesthetic my floral style is known for.

The ceremony in the Coach House featured a breathtaking full-flower arch, perfectly framing the couple as they exchanged their vows. Elegant ivory chair sashes draped gracefully, while delicate floral posies adorned the aisle ends, adding a charming touch to the setting.

For the wedding breakfast, we designed an elegant mix of tall and low centerpieces. Towering arrangements were crafted in sleek glass conical vases, overflowing with foliage and florals for a dramatic yet natural look. The lower designs, housed in cut-glass footed bowls, offered a more intimate and timeless appeal.

Megan looked radiant in her classic, understated white dress, carrying a loosely styled medium-sized posy that perfectly complemented her bridal look. John added a touch of tradition with his tartan trousers—such a fantastic choice!—which paired beautifully with his blue thistle buttonhole.

This wedding was a joy to design, and I feel so honored to have played a part in making Megan and John’s day as beautiful as their love story.

Nicola provided our flowers for our wedding at Stanlake Park. They were absolutely stunning, the flower arch definitely provided the wow factor in our ceremony barn.

We were so pleased and we had a lot of compliments on the arrangements.

Nicola xx
