Once maybe twice a year do you get the chance to work on a truly incredible ‘game changer’ wedding. Where the scheme is dreamy, the people are lovely and the venue is incredible.
Anna & Dave held their winter wedding and nuptials at Anna’s family home in Penn, Buckinghamshire. The intimate ceremony was held in the living room, and a marquee was laid out in the garden for the reception. I love working from private houses & estates, it’s such a lovely feeling to know the wedding will be a complete and original one-off, for one couple only.
Having the wedding in November, and being given a natural & organic style to work around, I had a lovely choice of flowers available in the green, white and dark blue scheme the couple chose.
The ceremony room/family living room had a huge inglenook fireplace where the couple would read their vows. Here we created a bespoke flower garland to naturally spill along and over this, totalling a length of 15 feet. The aisle chairs were lined with candle-lit hurricane vases and cute bunches of flowers tied to the chairs.
The marquee which hosted the wedding breakfast was laid out with 4 x 20ft long dining tables, which all had large and elaborate hanging installations suspended above them, the finished effect was spectacular.
