Ellie & Jeroen
Ellie and Jeroen celebrated their beautiful wedding in the early summer of 2024 at the picturesque Stanlake Park Vineyard, a stunning venue nestled in Twyford, near Reading. With its charming walled gardens, vineyard rows, and rustic barns, Stanlake Park offers the perfect backdrop for a romantic English wedding, and it was such a pleasure to return there as a preferred floral supplier.
Ellie first reached out to me after discovering my work on Instagram and noticing I was listed as one of Stanlake Park’s recommended florists. From our very first consultation, which took place a whole year before the big day, Ellie had a clear initial vision: she dreamed of a relaxed wildflower, meadow-style wedding, full of texture and movement, using a cheerful mix of colours to bring a whimsical, countryside feel to the day.
As is often the case when planning something as personal and emotional as a wedding, that vision evolved over time, and I always leave plenty of space for that to happen. I completely understand that colour schemes and ideas can shift as the day gets closer. In fact, the final floral design ended up being a complete departure from our original plan.
Instead of the wildflower look, Ellie and Jeroen opted for a more refined, elegant palette of muted blues, soft pinks and classic whites, creating a romantic and timeless aesthetic. The arrangements were full of lush, blousy blooms that offered both texture and luxury. We used a considered mix of Roses, Garden Roses, Peonies, Hydrangea, Ranunculus and Delphinium, along with Campanula, Allium and Spray Roses, to create depth and movement throughout the day’s floral story.
From the ceremony to the reception, every floral element was designed to feel graceful, natural, and beautifully abundant — reflecting not only the couple’s refined taste, but also the soft charm of an early summer wedding among the vines.
The day was captured perfectly by the talented Emily Collett, whose photographs brought every petal and moment to life so wonderfully.

Wow wow WOW! I cannot believe how well Nicola’s flowers turned out for my wedding two weeks ago! We felt totally at ease with Nicola during our first call, but I had a huge freakout in the lead up to the wedding as my ideas were totally different from when we first chatted, and I found it really hard to articulate what I wanted. Luckily Nicola somehow was able to translate the image I had in my mind into reality, and the results were INCREDIBLE.
The flowers looked better than I could have imagined and every time I look at the photos I can’t believe how amazing they look. I was nervous as you only find out on the day how they look exactly but I knew from Nicola’s portfolio they’d look lovely, but the amount of compliments I got from people on the day tells me they just looked out of this world. If we ever had another event we would go with Flora Special Occasion as the flowers also lasted for days.
I think the final thing I’d mention is price – we really felt that Nicola charged a fair price for her flowers and she really worked with us to help us budget, which is so important when weddings can get so expensive! Thank you so much Nicola!!!
