There is something rather special about a wedding filled with flowers in every shade of pink, and Georgie & Mark’s beautiful summer wedding at Wasing Park in Aldermaston was exactly that.
From romantic floral urns in the on-site church to pretty bud vases and glowing taper candles on the dining tables, their wedding flowers were designed around a joyful, romantic palette of mixed pinks, creating a look that felt abundant, elegant and completely personal to them.
And, of course, there was one very special guest who stole a little of the show along the way… their gorgeous Husky, who joined them for the church ceremony.
From a Hedsor House meeting to a Wasing Park wedding
I first met Georgie & Mark at a showcase evening at Hedsor House, where we chatted about their wedding plans and the kind of flowers they were drawn to.
Although they eventually chose Wasing Park in Berkshire as their wedding venue, they came back to me because they wanted me to create the flowers for their day.
I absolutely love when couples find me at one venue and then bring me along to another. It means I get to work with them on their vision, even when their plans evolve along the way.
For Georgie & Mark, the brief was wonderfully clear: pink, romantic, abundant and full of beautiful seasonal texture.
Pink wedding flowers in every shade
Rather than choosing one particular shade of pink, we worked with a whole spectrum.
Soft blush, delicate pastel pinks, brighter pinks and deeper rosy tones were brought together to give the flowers plenty of depth and movement.
Using different shades within the same colour family is one of my favourite ways to create a romantic wedding palette. It keeps the overall look cohesive while stopping everything from feeling too matched or uniform.
For a summer wedding at Wasing Park, this softer, garden-inspired approach worked beautifully against the historic setting and surrounding countryside.
Floral urns for the Wasing Park church ceremony
One of the main floral features of the day was the on-site church at Wasing Park, where Georgie & Mark had two sets of beautiful floral urn arrangements.
The urns framed the ceremony space and brought the pink floral palette right into the church, creating a romantic focal point as the couple exchanged their vows.
I love using urn arrangements for church weddings because they can make a real impact without needing to cover every surface. They also have the advantage of being able to be moved and reused elsewhere during the day, making them a particularly useful choice for couples who want their ceremony flowers to work harder.
And then there was their four-legged guest…
A very special Husky guest
Georgie & Mark’s Husky was there to witness the ceremony, and honestly, what could be better?
Having your dog involved in your wedding day can make it feel even more personal, particularly when they are such an important part of your family.
Their gorgeous Husky was a very memorable part of the day and, naturally, made a rather handsome addition to the wedding photographs.
Wedding table flowers at Wasing Park
For the reception tables, we kept the flowers delicate and romantic with a collection of bud vases filled with pink flowers, interspersed with elegant taper candles.
The smaller bud vase arrangements created a relaxed, garden-inspired feel across the tables while keeping the overall look light and intimate.
I love this style of wedding table design because you don’t necessarily need one huge centrepiece to make an impact. Lots of smaller arrangements can create beautiful movement across a long table, particularly when they are combined with candlelight.
The taper candles added another layer of warmth and atmosphere as the evening progressed, complementing the pink flowers beautifully.
A romantic Berkshire wedding full of personality
What I loved most about Georgie & Mark’s wedding was that it didn’t feel like they were trying to recreate somebody else’s wedding.
The flowers were romantic and elegant, but they still had personality. The mix of pink shades gave the arrangements a joyful feel, while the loose, natural style kept everything feeling relaxed rather than overly formal.
And those personal details, from their beloved dog joining them at the church to the candlelit reception tables, made the whole day feel unmistakably theirs.
